Parental interest in the school is strong. We have an active PTA - Wheatcroft PTFA - and there are many opportunities during the school year when parents can take a closer look at the achievements of their children and become more involved in school activities. These include open evenings, concerts, sports day, helping on school journeys and in the classrooms.

Children have a voice in the running of the school through the School Council.

Standards of work and behaviour are high. To look at our results in the 2009 National SATs, please click here. Our children regularly exceed the national and county levels of achievement for eleven year olds. We also encourage a culture of care, consideration and politeness which helps generate the good relationships and positive ethos we enjoy in our school.
